Ashley and Dustin... one of my favorite couples of all time! This video and photos were from their Engagement session in Zion, but their wedding up in St. George was such a beautiful day that we got to film and I just seriously love these two!!

This was a fun little film from their engagement session, and it really captures not only the beauty of Zion National Park in the wintertime, but their love for each other. They are high school sweethearts who finally tied the knot, but first came the engagement! One of my favorite parts of this day was learning that Ashley actually went to the same highschool I did, but a few years later! So wild!! Hope you enjoy :)

And since we're posting their engagement video, why not add in some of my favorite shots from their engagement session?? These two are cute, cuddly, and so in love it just shows right through the camera. They are so funny and Ashley's laugh is seriously contagious! One of the best parts of this day was having them run full speed toward me in front of the most gorgeous red cliffs. Being down in the valley in Zion is such a treat, because you are just so small and surrounded by these wild mountains, you just feel so at peace and understand why this National Park is one the most popular and photographed places in the world! And they did their engagement photos here, can you believe it??

Las Vegas Desert Engagement Session \\ Kaylee + Brent

Red Rock Canyon Engagement Pictures at Sunrise

I met Kaylee on facebook when she was looking for a photographer for her engagement photos, and I am so glad that she chose me because in just a few short months I will also be photographing her wedding and cannot wait!

Kaylee and Brent are such a fun, silly, cute, and amazing couple. We all became fast friends at the session, which is the best and easiest way to photograph someone! Our session was at Red Rock canyon, just outside of Las Vegas. This place is surrounded by striped red mountains and the desert is filled with gorgeous Joshua Trees and beautiful desert flora. Our session began just before the sunrise, so it was still a little cold since the desert cools down a lot overnight, even in the summertime.

My favorite part about this place is that if the clouds are just right, when the sun hits the mountains it makes them light up bright orange, I mean they look like they are glowing! This doesn't happen every time, but when it does, oh man it's beautiful! As a wedding photographer in Las Vegas, I get to do a lot of engagement sessions, and this is one of my most popular spots for engagements, maternity shoots, family sessions and even grad photos! I mean if I had to choose it would definitely be one I would want as a backdrop, just imagine handing these photos on your wall!

We cannot wait for their wedding in September! My favorite part of being a wedding photographer is getting to do it with Bryen. Sometimes we both do photography together, sometimes we both do videography together, and other times I do the photos while he does the video! It just depends on what our clients want and how we can best serve them on their wedding days! But we always do it together, and it's seriously such a treat!

Snow Capped Red Rock Canyon Engagements | Kelsey + Ryan

I've known Kelsey and Ryan since my freshmen year of college, they were both two years ahead of me, and we all went to a small college in Colorado. Ryan is originally from Las Vegas, so we were bonded by our home of sin city! They are college sweethearts, and are honestly so perfect for each other, that I am so excited for them and their upcoming wedding!

We were able to get some beautiful engagement photos for them during their time back in Vegas visiting Ryan's parents, and we lucked our that the Red Rock mountains were covered in a beautifully light dusting of snow! I shoot so many engagement and maternity sessions out in this exact spot, but wow oh wow have I never done one with snow in the back, it was such a treat! Especially since we all have that snowy college experience, it was like a special Denver detail to their Las Vegas engagement photos.

When Kelsey reached out about me capturing their engagement photos, I was ecstatic! One, because she is a drop deal gorgeous model, but also because I loved that they wanted to take them in Las Vegas even though neither of them live here and it was so much fun getting to see them both again. Ryan joked around 98% of the session, so I was actually surprised when I had gotten soooo many amazing shots from their session that weren't too out of focus from me laughing too much!

We were heading out for a sunset session, but the sun went behind the clouds well before sunset so unfortunately there was not beautiful backlighting or sunflares to had during that evening, but the gloomy weather did provide for some beautiful even lighting during their session! While I love sunflares and bright glowing portraits, the soft lighting a cloudy provides is just like a giant softbox in the sky that gives such creamy and dreamy skin tones.
