Palm Springs Intimate Wedding at Old Polo Estate

2020 may have been a slower year than most when it comes to weddings, but that doesn't mean we haven't been capturing some amazing intimate moments (at safe distances of course) with some pretty amazing couples. Scaling down the size of your wedding doesn't mean that it has to be any less special or beautiful, just more about you! For this wedding we traveled out to Palm Springs for this beautiful and intimate wedding. And even though it was a little hot and sweaty, it was so incredibly special. The best part about getting to be a wedding photographer is that I get to photograph weddings with my own fiancé, getting to be creative and just celebrate love!

Our beautiful couple Dani and Jordyn were so sweet, super cute, and also freaking models. While we always tell our couples not to worry too much about posing because we have tons of poses, always making sure they know where to put their hands and making them feel relaxed, Dani and Jordyn were naturals in front of the camera, making our job easy as cake!

This was our first wedding that I shot on my new Panasonic S1R, since I switched from the Fuji GFX to the Lumix full frame mirrorless system. Las Vegas videographer Bryen has been shooting Panasonic for quite a while now for all our wedding videos, but I wasn't ready to give up my GFX until I got my hands on the S1R and got to play with it and fell in love. I mainly switched so that all our cameras would match pretty well for when we shoot videos, since we like to use all the cameras to get all the angles, and it's a good thing because Bryen uses my S1R almost more than his GH5!

I'm planning on doing a more in depth blog and video about my wedding photography/videography gear, showing you what I bring on every shoot and when I like to use what, but for this shoot I stuck with the Lumix S1R and Lumix 24-70 f/2.8. This set up is my go to right now because it is so versatile, perfect for both photo or video, making the switch between the two formats quick and easy on a wedding day. So back to Dani and Jordyn, this beautiful day was at the Old Polo Estate, an absolutely gorgeous venue in Palm Springs, perfect for intimate and large weddings alike. The flowers on property were still blooming in late June, which made for the most colorful photos and video! This venue featured a gorgeous little pond with a water feature that absolutely glowed during golden hour, and the dreamiest walkway for your guests to enter and exit through. With private parking and a gate, this venue made for such an incredible event, I might just have to plan our wedding to be in Palm Springs. Or possibly, I might have to move to Palm Springs just so I can become a Palm Springs wedding photographer and shoot at this venue all the time! Not to mention how close to Joshua Tree I would be!!

Wild Downtown Las Vegas Elopement \\ Afton + Matt

Downtown Vegas Elopement at Binions

Afton and Matt's wild Vegas Elopement began right after sunset on the top of the Binion's parking garage in #DowntownVegas. Right off #FremontStreet, this rooftop garage has some of the best views of Vegas, as well as some of the coolest and biggest neon signs around, I mean just check out that picture below!

If you are looking at eloping in Las Vegas, there are really two ways to do it. Some go for the chapel or downtown Vegas look, with colorful graffiti walls and #neonlights, while others really vibe with the desert on the outskirts of town for that more secluded boho look. No matter your preferences, we are the Vegas elopement photographers for you! We know some great spots all over town, and know how to capture your elopement pictures at ANY time of the day. While most of our sessions are at sunrise or sunset, we are great with flash and other light modifiers to be able to capture amazing pictures in the middle of the day with harsh lighting or even at night once the sun has gone all the way down! If you love this look below, you might also love the Neon Boneyard, which is probably one of the coolest places EVER! I've been a huge fan of this place forever, I even did my highschool senior pictures there almost a decade ago because I love it so much! But if you are a little more wild, the top of one of the coolest parking garages in the world might just be the place for you to tie the knot or take some killer photos!

Elopement Photos at the Plaza, Downtown Las Vegas

We shot their #elopement photography on both digital and film, and also were the videographers for their wild night! Being #wedding and elopement photographers and #videographers in Las Vegas means that we get to capture some wild and beautiful weddings, but this one was a first for us! Our first nighttime elopement on top of a parking garage, but we sure hope it won't be our last! It was so much fun!! After the ceremony, we headed down to the Plaza hotel in downtown Vegas to get some awesome pictures under the lights! If there is one thing the #Plaza is known for in Vegas, it's the lights. There must be at least a million bulbs, and they are just spectacular. This has to be one of the coolest spots in all of Vegas, especially once the sun goes down and the lights turn on, wow oh wow!!!

Zion National Park Engagement Film \\ Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Ashley and Dustin... one of my favorite couples of all time! This video and photos were from their Engagement session in Zion, but their wedding up in St. George was such a beautiful day that we got to film and I just seriously love these two!!

An Engagement Film by Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

This was a fun little film from their engagement session, and it really captures not only the beauty of Zion National Park in the wintertime, but their love for each other. They are high school sweethearts who finally tied the knot, but first came the engagement! One of my favorite parts of this day was learning that Ashley actually went to the same highschool I did, but a few years later! So wild!! Hope you enjoy :)

And since we're posting their engagement video, why not add in some of my favorite shots from their engagement session?? These two are cute, cuddly, and so in love it just shows right through the camera. They are so funny and Ashley's laugh is seriously contagious! One of the best parts of this day was having them run full speed toward me in front of the most gorgeous red cliffs. Being down in the valley in Zion is such a treat, because you are just so small and surrounded by these wild mountains, you just feel so at peace and understand why this National Park is one the most popular and photographed places in the world! And they did their engagement photos here, can you believe it??
